Japan to Provide Emergency Assistance for Cox's Bazar Massive Fire

Dhaka April 15, 2021 – On April 8, the Government of Japan decided to extend emergency support of about 1 million US dollars to those affected by the fire in “Rohingya” camps in Cox's Bazar in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh through Japan Platform(Japan Platform (JPF) is an international emergency humanitarian aid organization). This support will include health and medical care, food assistance, water and sanitation assistance, and shelter assistance.
 
With extending this assistance, Japan has contributed 156 million US dollars in total to humanitarian assistance in Cox’s Bazar since August 2017.
