H. E. Mr. ITO Naoki inaugurated the Training on “Women’s Economic Leadership” course founded by Japan for the returnee women workers launched by UN Women at BKTTC
On 9th February, H.E. Mr. ITO Naoki, Ambassador of Japan attended the inauguration ceremony to celebrate newly launched Economic Leadership training course supported by Government of Japan. The course is offered to returning female migrant workers who have been forced to come back to Bangladesh and have lost their income due to COVID-19.
He also paid a visit to Women Café and the mask production sites funded by Government of Japan and run by female workers. H.E. Mr. ITO Naoki highlighted that the successful initiative and collaboration by UN Women, BNSK and GoB provides women empowerment through creating income sources.
