Foreign Minister’s Commendation upon Professor Mahmudul Haque, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka

On December 9, the Foreign Minister’s Commendation was conferred to Professor Mahmudul Haque, the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka at the official residence of Ambassador Hiroyasu Izumi on the occasion of National Day reception to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
On July 20, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan decided to confer the Commendation upon Professor Haque. The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Izumi expressed his sincere appreciation to Professor Haque for his great contribution to enriching our great friendship through paintings for more than 30 years. Mr. Haque got a master’s degree in Fine Arts at Tsukuba University, Japan, in 1984 and since then, has taught many Bangladeshi students the beauty of Japanese art at University of Dhaka.
