Female Judo Athletes Cut Brilliant Figures


The ‘Sport for Tomorrow Judo Championship 2017’ was jointly organised by the Embassy of Japan and Bangladesh Judo Federation at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on 8 December.
About 90 girls and women Judo athletes from 19 organisations in various district, including BKSP, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Ansar, Bangladesh Village Police, Dhaka District Sports Council, Chapai Nawabgang District, Mahamuni Shishu Sadan of Bandarban District, Eagle Sports & Welfare Club of Narayanganj District participated in the tournament with enthusiasm.
Judo is one of the traditional martial sports of Japan, which is practiced all over the world. It also is an Olympic event since its first inclusion in the Games in 1964. The Government of Japan has been committed to an international contribution through sport initiative, which promotes sport to more than 10 million people in over 100 countries until 2020, the year when Tokyo will host the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
