     On March 3rd, Ambassador Saida Shinichi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on H. E. Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed, Home Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

     After extending his congratulations to the Minister on his appointment, Ambassador Saida stated that this year marks the 10 years since the terrorist attack in Dhaka and emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of Japanese nationals and entities in Bangladesh. In response, Minister Salahuddin assured that every effort would be made to ensure their safety.

     They also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest, including police support.
