Minister TAKAHASHI visited project sites and attended the Project Closing Ceremony for a project by “World Vision Japan” in Cox’s Bazar, funded through the Japanese MOFA’s Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects


On 19 April, in Ramu Upazila, Cox’s Bazar District, Minister Naoki Takahashi visited project sites for a three-year water and sanitation improvement initiative implemented by World Vision Japan and funded through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan’s Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects.
On 20 April, Minister Takahashi attended the project’s closing ceremony in Cox’s Bazar, hosted by World Vision Japan. In his remarks, he congratulated World Vision Japan on the successful completion of the initiative and expressed his hope that local partners would assume ownership to ensure the sustained operation and maintenance of the water and sanitation systems. He reaffirmed Japan’s steadfast commitment to supporting host communities in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, which continue to shelter a large number of Rohingya refugees.
