    On April 19, Minister Takahashi Naoki held a meeting with the Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (Joint Secretary), Mr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Obaidullah, at the RRRC Office in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
    During the meeting, Minister Takahashi paid tribute to the generous efforts of Bangladesh in hosting over one million Rohingya refugees.
    He also acknowledged the contribution of JICA Expert Mr. Shimawaki Takeki at the RRRC.
Minister Takahashi reiterated Japan’s commitment to continuing to work closely with Bangladesh, UN agencies, and other partners to promote the self-reliance of Rohingya refugees and strengthen the resilience of host communities in Bangladesh, while pursuing pathways toward their safe, voluntary, and dignified repatriation.
