    On June 8, 2026, Minister Takahashi paid visits to the Abdul Monem Economic Zone (AMEZ) and the Cumilla Export Processing Zone (Cumilla EPZ).
    At AMEZ, he visited Bangladesh Honda and toured its motorcycle manufacturing facility, where he was briefed on the company’s business activities.
    He then proceeded to Cumilla EPZ, where he visited CAT Garment, a Japanese company, and later met with the Executive Director of Cumilla EPZ at the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) office in Cumilla EPZ. The Executive Director expressed keen interest in attracting more Japanese investment. In response, Minister Takahashi, noting with appreciation the growing momentum for further bilateral investment and trade under the Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership, requested BEPZA’s continued support to ensure a sound business environment for Japanese companies operating in Bangladesh, including those located in Cumilla EPZ.
