16th Japanese Speech Contest in Bangladesh


Dhaka, February 22 – The 16th Japanese Speech Contest in Bangladesh was held at the Embassy of Japan, showcasing the impressive skills of top Japanese language learners in the country. The event was co-organized by the Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB), the Japan Foundation, and the Embassy of Japan.
This year, approximately 60 participants competed in the preliminary stage of the contest. The final round of the contest featured 15 outstanding contestants whose speeches captivated both the audience and the judges.
Mr. Numan Bin Abdul Latif clinched the first prize in the advanced category with his speech titled “A Turning Point in My Life.” In the Beginner’s category, Ms. Kazi Refaya Noshin Prima secured the top position with her inspiring speech “Memory of a Trip.”
This year’s contest received generous sponsorship from Marubeni Corporation, Kaicom Solutions Japan, Mitsubishi Corporation, Nagasaki Restaurant, Nippon Koei Bangladesh Ltd., Saito Nensi Bangladesh Ltd., Sojitz Corporation, Tekkan Corporation, Medi Care Japan, Kazuko Bhuiyan Trust, MUFG, the Japan Commerce & Industry Association and KAC Fashion Wear in Dhaka.
Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi and Japanese Language Advisor of the Japan Foundation New Delhi, Ms. Kyoko Takemoto, were present on this occasion.
