The Japanese Film Festival for Children held at the Bangladesh Shishu Academy

On December 11th, the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Shishu Academy hosted the Japanese Film Festival, featuring Japanese Films for Children. This event, held at the Shishu Academy, was organized in collaboration with the KINEKO International Children's Film Festival, SHOM (Spouse of the Head of Mission), and the Children’s Film Society Bangladesh.

Children enjoyed four award-winning Japanese short films:
- Komaneko - The First Step (こまねこ はじめのいっぽ)
- Grandpa's Star Fireworks (じいじのほしはなび)
- There Must Be More Than That! (それしかないわけないでしょ)
- Sweet (すいーと)
After the screening, the students shared their thoughts and what they had learned from these films.
As a special treat, the children received gift bags and Japanese chocolates from Madam IWAMA Tomomi and Madam Paola Belfiore, as seen in the film “Sweet.”
Our special thanks to our special guests who supported this event at BSA:
- SHOM (Ms. IWAMA Tomomi, and Ms. Paola Belfiore)
- Ms. Tania Khan, Director General (Additional Secretary), BSA
