Ambassador Saida’s courtesy call on Foreign Minister H.E. Khalilur Rahman and State Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Shama Obaed Islam.
On February 24, Ambassador Saida Shinichi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and H.E. Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. H.E. Mr. Humayun Kabir and H.E. Mr. Mahadi Amin, Advisers to the Prime Minister were also present at the meeting with Foreign Minister, H.E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
Ambassador Saida stated that, the Japan will work with Bangladesh under the Strategic Partnership to further steadily deepen bilateral relations and collaborate to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
They also exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including Japan’s development assistance, trade and investment, defense cooperation and other bilateral items.
