Ambassador SAIDA attended the seminar “Maximising The Opportunities of the Bangladesh-Japan Economic Partnership (EPA)” hosted by CPD

    

     On March 16, Ambassador SAIDA attended as the special guest in the seminar “Maximising The Opportunities of the Bangladesh-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)”, hosted by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) at the Embassy of Japan.

     Ambassador SAIDA, in his remarks, highlighted the significance of the Bangladesh-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) as a milestone in bilateral relations, noting that it marks Bangladesh’s first full-fledged EPA and Japan’s first EPA with a Least Developed Country (LDC). He expressed that the EPA would promote greater trade, investment, and economic cooperation, while emphasizing the importance of effective implementation, appropriate industrial policies, and an improved investment environment. He also reaffirmed Japan’s continued commitment to supporting Bangladesh’s sustainable and inclusive economic development.
