    On September 30, Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, Hon’ble Minister for Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives.

    Ambassador SAIDA congratulated Minister Moyeen Khan on his appointment and expressed Japan’s commitment to supporting Hon’ble Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s efforts toward building a new Bangladesh, while further deepening and expanding bilateral relations across a broad range of areas.

   In response, Minister Moyeen Khan stated that Japan has been Bangladesh’s largest development partner, consistently supporting the country’s development since its independence, and expressed his high appreciation for Japan’s longstanding cooperation. He also conveyed his deep gratitude for the many years of support extended to the Ministry by the Government of Japan and JICA, and expressed his expectation for the further development of cooperation between the two countries.
