On November 19, Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi attended the “Bangladesh-Japan Forum on Food and Agribusiness”, co-organized by Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Dhaka Office. This forum was part of mutual cooperation between Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and MAFF. Ambassador SAIDA highlighted that food and agriculture is a priority sector under Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership, and expressed his hope that today's forum will further strengthen collaboration between the two countries, deepen ties between the public and private sectors, and encourage new Japanese investment that can contribute to Bangladesh’s industrial diversification beyond the garment sector.
