Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi paid a courtesy call on Honourable Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus

          

On January 30, Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi paid a courtesy call on Honourable Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, as he assumed his duties as the new Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh.
 
During the meeting, Ambassador SAIDA expressed his commitment to standing firmly by the Interim Government led by Honourable Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus to support their reform efforts and to further advancing the relations between the two countries.
 
Both sides cordially exchanged views on the bilateral relations including enhancing economic and business relations and defense cooperation as well as regional situations such as Rohingya refugee issues. They concurred that they would continue to further strengthen the Japan-Bangladesh relations in broad areas under the “Strategic Partnership”.
