Origami workshop by Professor Mitani held at NSU, IUT and ULAB

On 18, 19 and 21 November, Origami (Japanese paper folding art) Workshop was organised by Professor Jun Mitani, renowned computer scientist. The workshop showed Bangladeshi students with scientific approach to Japanese origami artworks. The three-days event was realized in collaboration with prominent education institutions, in particular NSU, IUT and ULAB. Hands-on learning sessions were also available for students from beginner to advanced level in Origami art.
The presentation by Prof. Mitani incorporated folding techniques of his acclaimed works with innovative geometric and science approach. Approximately, 150 participants attended this event. Prof. Mitani has been using computer simulation to study behind the techniques of geometric patterns in Origami art-work. So far he has organised similar workshops in UAE, Spain, Israel, Hong Kong etc, and his workshops has received accolades by Origami professionals and enthusiasts from all around the world.
