| On June 29, Mr. TAKAHASHI Naoki, Minister at the Embassy of Japan, attended a seminar on “Investment Potential in Fisheries and Marine Economy in Bangladesh,” co-organized by MIDA and JICA. In his remarks, Minister TAKAHASHI highlighted Japanese contribution under the BIG-B (Bay of Bengal Industrial Growth Belt) initiative to the development of the MIDI region as a key driver of Bangladesh’s economic growth, including through fisheries, seafood processing, and marine-related industries. He expressed his hope that the seminar would provide a valuable opportunity to further unlock the potential of Bangladesh’s marine economy, promote investment, and to advance cooperation under the Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership. |
