Embassy of Japan representative visited the project site of the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects in Barisal District
Barisal, September 21, 2025 - On September 21, 2025, First Secretary Mr. KARASAWA Shinju visited Barisal District to attend the handover ceremony of the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects provided to the NGO “Good Neighbors Japan” by the Government of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects.
Under the project, Good Neighbors Japan constructed cyclone shelters for many residents in Barisal, and has strengthened disaster prevention capabilities in the targeted areas.
“I hope this project will contribute to improving the disaster prevention capabilities in Barisal, and help people minimize their sufferings in disaster.”, stated Mr. KARASAWA.
