On August 12, Ambassador SAIDA Shinichi paid a courtesy call on Brig Gen (Rtd.) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain, Honorable Adviser to the Ministry of Shipping, and Ministry of Labour and Employment.       Ambassador SAIDA expressed Japan’s continuous commitment for the development of Matarbari Deep Sea Port, to which Advisor Hossain expressed his gratitude explaining that Matarbari Port is considered important for the further development of Bangladesh. In addition, they discussed issues related to the Moheshkhali-Matarbari Integrated Infrastructure Development Initiative (MIDI) Master Plan.       Both sides also exchanged views on matters related to labour and employment, and they underscored the importance of working closely together to further the bilateral relations.
