The Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented individual to apply for the following staff position.
 

1. Section: Public Relations staff at the PR & Culture Section

2. Employer: Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh

3. Location : Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh (Plot 5 and 7, Dutabash Road, Baridhara, Dhaka)

4. Working hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9:00AM-17:00PM (Lunch Break 12:30-13:30),    except for the Embassy holidays

5. Employment : full-time contract (first 3 months are probation period)  
              
6. Anticipated Start Date : June 2019

7. Job Description:
- Monitoring printed and online media (Bengali/English) and prepare report in English on daily basis
- Coordination for the press occasions of the Embassy events as well as drafting Press Releases
- Management of Embassy’s official website and SNS accounts
- Translation and interpretation (Bengali⇔English) in the PR and culture-related areas
- Doing research on relevant developments in Bangladesh, drawing from popular media sources and reportings from relevant academic institutions / think tanks
- Coordination with other partners
- Organizing events to promote Japan
- Other duties as required by Embassy officers

8. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Native level in English (IELTS 7.0 or above)
- Minimum one year of relevant experience, preferably in government agencies, mass media, research institutions or international organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

9. Preferred Qualifications:
- Japanese Language proficiency
