New Time Schedule of “Japan Cultural Festival 2009”

From 4th March  to 7th  March

 

Embassy of Japan would like to express deep condolences to the victims and their families of the tragic incident at Bangladesh Rifles Headquarters. To observe National Mourning Days and share the most sincere sympathies with the whole nation at this difficult moment, Embassy of Japan has cancelled the first half (February 28 to March 3) of the week-long program of “Japan Cultural Festival 2009”.

 

However, Embassy of Japan would like to proceed with pre-scheduled Bonsai Exhibition, Animation Show and Drama performance from 4th March to 7th March . The Opening Ceremony of the Japan Cultural Festival 2009 will be held on Wednesday, 4th March at 10 a.m. at the National Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Representatives from Embassy of Japan and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will be present at the Opening Ceremony.

Bonsai: National Contest and Exhibition

                                                 Date : 4 Mar - 7 Mar.

                                                 Time :   10.00 a.m. -1.30 p.m.,

                                                                2.30 p.m. -7.00 p.m.

                                                 Venue : National Art Gallery, Bangladesh Shilpakala  Academy,

 

Anime: Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Dinosaur 2006 (A Japanese movie with English  Sub titles)

                                                  Date : 6 Mar.

                                                Time : 4.30 p.m.

                                                Venue : National Theatre, Bangladesh  Shilpakala Academy

 

Drama:  One Hundred Sacks of Rice

                                                Date : 7 Mar.

                                                Time : 5.30 p.m.
