Embassy of Japan held a
Lecture Meeting on ICT
A lecture
meeting was held on ‘Present Situation and Challenges of IT
Service Industry: through experiences in Southeast Asian
Countries’, by the Information and Cultural Division, Embassy
of Japan at the Lakeshore Hotel in the city on Thursday.
Professor Dr. Keiko Morisawa was present as the resource
person from Osaka City University of Japan.
Dr. Morisawa
shared her thoughts on the scopes and possibilities in the IT
sector of Bangladesh. She also pointed out some directions of
building cooperative relationship with the Japanese ICT
service industry.
Mr. A. K. M.
Abdul Awal Mazumdar, Secretary, Ministry of Science and ICT,
attended the lecture as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Harumitsu
Hida, Minister-Counselor and Charge d’ Affaires, Embassy of
Japan chaired the lecture.
Distinguished
persons from government, national and international
organizations, as well as faculties and students of
universities attended the lecture.
