Japanese Language Speech Contest held in Dhaka
The 33rd
Japanese Language Speech Contest hosted by Dhaka Japanese
Language Institute Alumni Association (DAJLIAA) was held on
March 22 at Hotel Abakash in Mohakhali. Mr. Masami Tamura,
Counselor, Embassy of Japan, attended the programme as the
chief guest.
Fourteen
contestants, who won through a preliminary round held before
among 25 applicants, took part in the contest. Mr. Kazi Forhan
Ahmed won the first prize in the contest. The other winners
are as follows.
2nd Prize: Ms.
Alif Meem Nurani
3rd Prize: Mr.
Rasheduzzaman Khan
4th Prize: Mr. Md
Golam Morshed Moni
Special Prize: Ms. Sufia
Jahan and Ms. Jhumur Biswas
Mr. Tamura distributed prizes
and certificates among the winners of the contest. Mr.
Yasuhiro Sumi, Principle, Japanese School of Dhaka, acted as
the chief judge, while Ms. Nobuko Suzuki Kayashima, Resident
Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
and Mr. Tamura were the other judges. Mr. Momtazuddin Bhuiyan,
president, DAJLIAA, and Ms. Kazuko Bhuiyan, Principal, Dhaka
Japanese Language Institute, expressed their appreciation for
the efforts of all contestants.
