*This position is on a contractual basis, which is different from Embassy local staff.


Vacancy Description
Key roles and responsibilities
  1. Respond to general inquiries about the GGHSP.
  2. Review GGHSP applications and further examine short listed applications.
  3. Gather additional information through direct communication with applicants.
  4. Conduct site visits to review and follow up on the projects.
  5. Draft and send letters to applicants regarding the projects.
  6. Draft speeches and press releases on GGHSP.
  7. Update and manage GGHSP database.
  8. File and manage GGHSP documents.
  9. Submit reports on GGHSP operations as required.
Qualifications, experiences and competences
  1. Minimum University degree or equivalent, preferably in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or other related field.
  2. At least 2 years work experience in international organizations, diplomatic missions or International NGOs.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  4. Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
  5. Sound analytical, organizational and reporting skills.
  6. Willingness to travel anywhere in Bangladesh
  7. Ability to work in a team and under tight deadlines.
  8. Willingness to work with and/or assist vulnerable people.
  9. Interest in Japanese development assistance policy.
  10. Aged between 25-35 years old
Duration
From mid-May 2014 to end of March 2015 (with possibility of renewal for another 2 years, not exceeding 3 years in total)

Remuneration
  1. Determined based on GGHSP guidelines and the applicant’s qualification and experience.
  2. The remuneration is based on a consultancy contract; therefore it does not cover insurance, tax, transportation or any other allowances and benefits.
