Job Vacancy: Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development Co-operation Section at Embassy of Japan

Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation section in the Embassy of Japan is seeking applications from Bangladeshi Nationals to fill the position of ‘Assistant for Economic Affairs (1 position)*’. Under the overall guidance and supervision by senior officer, the Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation assistant officer will be responsible for the following duties:

・Collecting and updating information on economic / economic cooperation through newspaper and other open information, meeting with officials from government, research institutions or development partners, and attending seminars.
・Translation of local information source
・Preparing reports on economic / economic cooperation in Bangladesh
・Supporting to procedures regarding Official Development Assistance provided by Japan
・Other tasks as requested

*The duration of contract is a three month’s trial period which may be extended on an annual basis

Required qualifications, competences and experience:
(1) Educational Requirements
Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent, specialization in Economics /Economic development / other related field
(2) Job Experience
Preferably 2 years of relevant experience. Experience in government agencies / research institutions / international organization will be considered an asset
(3) Language requirements
Fluency in speaking English and proficiency in writing in English are required
